The Axon Fusus system serves to increase community security while maintaining personal privacy.
What is the ‘Connect Peachtree Corners’ Donor Site Initiative?
The ‘Connect Peachtree Corners’ Donor Site Initiative between the City of Peachtree Corners, Gwinnett County Police Department, and Axon Fusus, which operates on a voluntary basis with homeowners, neighborhoods, and business owners who own private video surveillance systems without digital video recording devices.
What can I expect after registering my camera?
If a crime occurs in your area, law enforcement may contact you and ask if you’re willing to share any video footage.
Who is eligible?
Anyone whose residence is located within the City of Peachtree Corners is welcome to register the location of the private camera(s) and aid in criminal investigations.
Is there a cost to register?
No, there is no cost associated with registration.
What information will be requested on the registration form?
The form requests the owner’s first and last name, email address, cell phone number, location address and the number of internal and/or external cameras.
How will my camera information be used?
The contact information you provide may be accessed by law enforcement when investigating a crime near where your camera is located. Law enforcement may contact you to request a copy of any video captured by your camera system.
Will the City, law enforcement, or any other entity have a direct feed into my camera?
No. Neither the city nor law enforcement will have direct access to your camera system. Registering your camera with Connect Peachtree Corners is voluntary and provides law enforcement with the location of your cameras and a means to contact you if a crime occurs in the vicinity of where your cameras are located. Your authorization is always required for you to share camera footage.
How will I be contacted if law enforcement wants to request my video?
In the event your video would be helpful to law enforcement, you would be contacted via the email provided on the registration form. If you cannot be reached by email, you may receive a call at the number provided.
Do I have the right to refuse access to my video footage?
The camera system is your property, and you have the right to refuse any requests.
Will my information be shared publicly?
No. Your data is classified as protected and the information can’t be disclosed in a public data request.
If I no longer want to share my information, how do I get it removed?
You may request your registration be removed at any time. To remove your information please contact 844-226-9226.
